…as Dr. Eruani commend successful candidates
Two Bayelsa Youths has emerged successful in the computer-based test for the Azikel Aviation training program in the United States of America (USA).
The successful candidates, Yebei Ebilate Amabebe and Ezekiel Tariyai scored 88 per cent and and 81.5 per cent respectively out of the 108 candidates that sat for the examination.
The computer-based test, administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States, was held on Tuesday at the Federal University Otuoke ICT Centre; with the two candidates scoring above the required 80 per cent pass marks set by the United States Embassy.
The President of Azikel Group, Dr. Godbless Azibapu-Eruani (CFR), in his message, congratulated the shortlisted candidates who emerged successful in the computer-based test for the Azikel Aviation training program.
The Azikel Group President represented by his SA on New Media, Deacon Igali Robert, reaffirmed that the Aviation Training Program, which aims to assist Bayelsa youths aspiring to receive aviation training in the United States for Fixed Wing Aeroplane, Helicopter, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, is strictly a merit-based program with strong emphasis on academic excellence.
He commended the successful candidates for the sleepless nights and all of their hard work that went into achieving the prestigious feat.
Speaking to journalists after the exam, the Coordinator of the Azikel Aviation Training Program, Jidayi Ijuptil Ardo, thanked everyone who took part and urged them not to give up, but keep an eye out for similar opportunities as the Azikel Group would soon be launching more programs for the youths of Bayelsa.
He said the two successful candidates will, as promised, now have access to the best facilities, newest technology, and industry-recognized training materials available in the States
Expressing their gratitude to the President of Azikel Group for the opportunity, the two successful candidates, described the test as extremely difficult; attributing their success to the Almighty God and the extensive study they had to put in.
The beneficiaries of the Azikel Aviation training programme are expected to gain top-notch aviation training in the United States and gained the needed empowerment for self-reliance and contribute to the empowerment of others in Bayelsa and the Niger Delta region.
It would be recalled that the Azikel Group partnered with three significant organizations for the program, one of which is the US Embassy, which grants M1 visas, enabling participants to travel to the US for aviation training as engineers and helicopter and fixed-wing pilots.
