Bayelsa United forward Robert Mizo says he is hopeful of a productive campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL after a brilliant start of the season.
Mizo five star performance last Sunday earn the Prosperity Boys 2-1 victory over visitors Wikki Tourist of Bauchi with the striker registering a brace for his side to increase his goal tally for the season to three with two assist.
The striker, in an interview, said he was elated to be in the score sheet for Bayelsa United having scored in the opening fixture against Dakkada Fc of Uyo, noting that his target for season was to help the Aiteo champions finish in a respectable position at the end of the season.
He noted that the win against their group B opponent Wikki Tourist has awaken the spirit of the players, pointing out that target is to score more goals in the league as they prepared to face Lobi Stars in Jos this weekend.
The former George Turnah talisman, explained that before the Sunday clash that he was optimistic of scoring two goals that why he took his time slot in the second goal while waiting for chances to come.
Robert Mizo who hails from Imringi in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State last season scored eight goals in the Nigeria National League NNL including the crucial goal against Abia Comet at the Umuahia Township stadium.
